Monday's Prep Roundup: Temple takes down Spencerville

LIMA - Haley Sutton had 10 kills and 13 assists Monday to lead Temple Christian to a volleyball win over Spencerville. The Pioneers won in three straight, 25-17, 25-23, 25-13.

Angie Link had four aces and Erika Beals had 19 digs for Temple (7-7). Krista Good also had 13 assists.

Spencerville fell to 3-12.

LIMA SENIOR 3, BATH 1: It was close all the way to the end, and Lima Senior pulled out the impressive non-league win. The Spartans won in four, 25-19, 24-26, 25-23, 25-18.

Rachel Mauk led the Bath (7-9) attack with three aces and 12 kills. Erika Dickerson had 22 assists.

Aja Goare had 15 kills for Lima Senior (7-8). Brianna Butler had 29 assists, Sam Dunifon had five aces and Shequella Greeno had 18 digs.

ADA 3, UPPER SCIOTO VALLEY 0: Morgan Dumbaugh had five aces, eight digs and nine kills to lead Ada. The Bulldogs improved to 11-7.

MARION LOCAL 3, FORT LORAMIE 0: Tara Hartings had 15 digs and 12 assists to lead Marion Local. Shelby Moeller added another 12 assists for the Flyers (17-2).

Alyssa Winner had 15 kills for Marion Local.

Boys Soccer

LIMA CENTRAL CATHOLIC 3, ADA 1: Nolan Burkholder, A.J. Lamoreau and Shawn Ritchie each scored for LCC. Corey Vaughn had the goal for Ada.

LCC keeper Mark Hawk made 11 saves as the Thunderbirds improved to 8-7. Ada dropped to 6-4-1.

OTTAWA-GLANDORF 3, VAN WERT 0: Ottawa-Glandorf had 21 shots on goal and held Van Wert to just one. Eric Brickner, Jordan Alt and Jeremy Duling each tallied for the Titans (10-0-2, 6-0-1 WBL).

The Cougars fell to 0-6-1 in the league.

SHAWNEE 8, ST. MARYS 0: Garrett Black scored three goals and Nate Aller added two more as Shawnee improved to 10-2-1 overall and 6-1 in the WBL.

Adam Khalaf had a goal and three assists for the Indians, who had 19 shots on goal and allowed only one for St. Marys.

Girls Soccer

LIMA CENTRAL CATHOLIC 3, DELPHOS JEFFERSON 1: LCC out-shot Jefferson 20-10 in the match. Kelly Ahman, Megan France and Lexie Brown scored for the Thunderbirds (4-6-3).

Elizabeth Schosker netted a point for the Wildcats.

Kelly Mulcahy had six saves for LCC. Jessica Bland turned away 15 shots for Jefferson.

DELPHOS ST. JOHN'S 2, BLUFFTON 0: Samantha Stant had 10 saves to preserve the shutout for Delphos St. John's. Becca Saine and Victoria Recker each scored for St. John's (6-6-1).

Jonica Schmutz recorded 12 saves for the Pirates (2-11).

Girls Tennis

LIMA CENTRAL CATHOLIC 3, WAPAKONETA 1: Ashley Swick won at first singles for LCC, and the Thunderbirds swept the doubles in a non-league match. Swick beat Heather Wells 6-2, 6-2.

Ricki Oen won at second singles for the Wapakoneta point.
